Nau Mai, Haere Mai ki Waimārama.
Welcome, welcome, welcome to our beautiful home of Waimārama.
We have two beautiful options for your experience. Option one is only available if we have 15 people or more, both options are well worth your time and money.
Option one:
Be formally welcomed with a traditional pōwhiri/welcoming at a special Waimārama location chosen that day especially for your needs before enjoying a magical cultural performance that showcases haka, waiata and traditions passed down through generations. Visitors are invited to take part, making this an engaging, interactive experience and very educational, you will leave feeling very fulfilled.
Share light refreshements with us.
Whether you join us by day, when the coastline glistens under the sun, or by night, when the atmosphere becomes intimate and powerful under the stars, this is an unforgettable opportunity to connect deeply with the people and stories of Waimārama.
Option two: Small & intimate option
If our group numbers are small, we don't cancel - we make it personal.
We'll meet you in Waimārama, or pick you up from where you're staying, and take you on a relaxed journey through Hastings or Napier and out to our beautiful home by the sea. Along the way, you'll meet some of our locals, hear a few stories about how we live today, where we've come from, and what we dream for the future. We'll share a cuppa or a cold drink with you, learn a poi dance and a haka together, and spend time connecting properly - no rush, no big crowds, just genuine kōrero and laughter. You'll leave not just knowing about Waimārama, but knowing us - The people of the land.
