This exhibition is a sculptural meditation on fluid dynamics. Rooted in the quiet rhythms of the Tūtaekuri River, Nigel’s work draws poetry from the everyday—the meandering walks with his dogs by the water, the rustling of the atmosphere, and the fleeting breath of wings. Through his hands, weathered driftwood is transformed into wearable art, echoing the eternal, swirling dance of wind and water.

About the artist:

Nigel Roberts is a senior academic staff member at IDEAschool E.I.T, specialising in Body adornment, Multimedia Sculpture and Video Art. His research encompasses a focus on natural forms and processes with a focus on micro and macro imaging of biological entities.

Nigel’s practice is a visual tactile process driven by emotional instinct that is rooted in embodied cognition, framed within the phenomenological study of experiential knowledge.

Opening Night: Friday 11th September 2026 – 5-7pm
